PAU at APA 2026
Turning individual participation into a collective institutional presence.

Overview
PAU's presence at the APA Annual Convention extended across faculty, students, alumni and other members of the university community.
The communications opportunity was to connect those individual moments into a more visible and cohesive institutional presence while giving participants tools to help amplify their own work.
My Role
Independently Led — Communications
I developed and led the communications strategy supporting PAU's APA presence, including messaging, participant communications, promotional content, presenter resources and editorial storytelling.
I created the Presenter Toolkit and supporting guidance to help faculty, students and alumni promote their participation while strengthening the connection between individual accomplishments and PAU's broader institutional presence.
Approach
- 01
Elevate the individual
Give presenters practical communications tools that make it easier to share their participation, expertise and accomplishments.
- 02
Elevate the institution
Connect individual participation across faculty, students and alumni so the collective PAU presence becomes more visible than any one presentation.
- 03
Extend the moment
Use participant communications, promotion and post-event storytelling to carry the value of conference participation beyond the convention itself.
Why It Mattered
The communications strategy turned distributed participation across the PAU community into a more connected institutional story.
By equipping participants to become communications amplifiers themselves, the work supported both individual visibility and PAU's broader reputation and presence within the field.
